We had big weekend plans to get our townhouse garage sorted and organized. It’s served as our holding area for over-flow storage, half-unpacked boxes, broken down boxes, etc. But Saturday morning rolled around and after several weeks of non-stop work and stress, we just weren’t in the mood for that chore.
We lounged around watching cartoons for a while!
{Our closet and bathroom is Hadley’s favorite playroom. She surprised me the other day by coming out in Daddy’s boots!}
Eventually we got dressed and decided on a little outing to the mall for lunch and browsing!
Is she just too much or what???
My mom got this sweet sailor dress for Hadley when I was pregnant. Before we even knew she was a girl! It’s a 12mo so I put it on her last spring, but it actually fits much better this year.
We ate lunch at Le Madelaine and made a few laps around the mall… We weren’t shopping for anything specific but James took the kids in the Disney store and let them pick out a surprise…
They chose Mickey and Minnie.
They had the best time watching the turtles and ducks at the fountain.
We had to pry this little girl away. She was obsessed!
I always like to go in Tiffany’s when we’re there. Just to look :) So that’s what we did.
I’ve been wanting an anchor pendant for quite some time. I love the symbolism behind anchors, and I think it’d make a great everyday piece. I couldn’t figure out if Tiffany’s had one or not so - just being curious - I asked one of the girls. She said they used to make one but it’s been discontinued and is no longer sold in stores.
But ironically… She’d researched it that morning for herself and there are a few left at headquarters. She could order one by phone, but more than likely they’d be gone in a month.
I was NOT expecting to get anything that day, but James told her to go ahead and order one for me. It should be in this week. EEEEEEK! I feel really spoiled since H and I just got little blue boxes for V-day… But I think I’ll survive ;)
So that was pretty much all the excitement we could muster for Saturday. We all passed out once we got home and had leftovers for dinner.
{She looks like such a sweet, chunk face little baby when she sleeps!}
Once again, we started out Sunday with a lazy morning. I want to start a new church home hunt next week, but it was nice to just NOT have anywhere to be for a weekend.
I made a grocery run while the kids napped and picked up some [what I assume are] “play clothes” for Hadley. She’s starting to play like a big girl, and with the weather getting warmer I guess it’s time she has a few things in her closet that I won’t cry over when they’re ruined…
All from Target and fairly cheap.
I like how most of them are interchangeable. I’ll admit - Target has some pretty cute little girl clothes right now. But no worries, these are strictly for rough-and-tumble play. We’ll keep the smocked bishops, bubbles, and sailor dresses around for AT LEAST another 5 years. Or 10… ;)
I also got her a pair of rain boots because she is OBSESSED with the pair Knox got for Valentine’s.
Sunday afternoon we had a birthday party! Knox got an invite from one of his classmates right before we moved. I honestly didn’t think we’d make the long drive back to go, but Knox has kind of been having a rough time with the move I knew it’d be good for him to see some familiar faces. So we went…
Knox is really in to basketball right now. He made several “goals” like this.
And he’s off!
I never see much of Knox at a Pump It Up party. He runs around a mile-a-minute and wants nothing to do with me.
Hadley enjoyed herself too…
That baby slide structure entertained her for a good 5 minutes.
Before I knew it she’d taken off up one of the big slides!
Being the responsible adult, I decided to follow her up…
Because OBVIOUSLY she needed my help.
And being the responsible adult, I knew I needed to slide down with her…
OMG am I 5??? Just look at poor Hadley… This is the worst picture and I should be embarrassed, but I honestly can’t stop laughing!
She really did love it though. She went up and down all by herself from here on out. Bravest little 18 month old ever.
All the kids in Knox’s class were there so we attempted a group picture.
And then it was cake and ice cream time. Knox’s favorite…
Bad iPhone pic, but I had to show y’all… She really is waaaaaaay too prissy.
Despite the 45min drive each way, I’m glad we made it to Colton’s party! Knox has SO much fun. He is really missing preschool and all of his friends.
We stopped by El Fenix on the way home for dinner.
Hadley putting on a show with her napkin. Typical.
And aside from James and I catching up on The Office and Once Upon A Time - that was our weekend! Sorry for the ambush of pics, I just really wanted to get that all in 1 post so I don’t fall behind anymore than I already am.
We didn’t do anything glamorous today. The kids and I made a run to Central Market to get some fresh ingredients for a new recipe.
The new recipe is Parmesan Encrusted Tilapia. (And yes it’s from Pinterest!)
We had it over steamed asparagus with fresh with warm bread. Fancy, huh? It was shockingly easy. The only things I did differently from the recipe is 1 used a full cup of parmesan cheese and added about 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs. It turned out great! Although I think next time I will broil the fish for the last minute of cooking.
Ok… I really AM ending this post now :)

I have made that tilapia before and it's our new favorite, so good! I haven't tried it with the breadcrumbs though, I will have to do that next time. Have a great day! ~Andrea
I Love Hadley's outfit...as always! And how are you so skinny!!
