The kids celebrated Halloween at school this past Thursday. First thing in the morning they had a costume parade for all the parents…
Hadley's class was out first.
And later came Knox's…
He's the pirate in the back there ;)
At 1:30 they had their fall parties so I came a little early to pick them up and get pictures.
Of course as soon as Hadley saw me she was over the party! I always think it's so crazy to watch and compare Hadley to her classmates. A lot of them are 2, or almost, and compared to them she is still so much in baby mode. Her teacher commented one day about how she wants to put everything in her mouth and won't sit still for a diaper change and I felt like saying DUH! She's 13 months… I kind of wished they'd divided it in to older and younger 1s, but I know by the time she hits 18mo it won't be as much of a difference. I don't think it's a good or bad thing. She's happy and social. I just think it's funny to watch.
Then we headed over to Knox's party. (Just now noticing the kid with the leftover camo paint on his face. Ha!)
I think it's a little girl thing but they are always drawn to Hadley. ("The baby.") Knox is so proud of her, he's always like "Hey guys, that's Sissy." ;)
These 3 have been together since the 1 year old class. We love Ysa and Colbie to pieces!
*Side-note* Just recently Knox's hair has decided not to cow-lick as much in the front. Maybe it's the haircut? I think his new hairline makes him look like such a big boy!
In other news this week - Hadley has gone from being a 50% walker to a 100% walker. And she's getting FAST. She's been able to walk for months now, but it's like she's just now wanting to.
She's also obsessed with any and all of the No-No's. The stairs, dishwasher, potty, oven, mommy computer, and yes… The trashcan. I spend my days chasing her from one to the next.
My mom drove in from Tennessee this afternoon to spend Halloween weekend with us. The kids were STOKED for some NaNa time. And me too. We're so starved for family quality time, I look forward to any and all house guests :) Not to mention this means I'm forced to get my entire house cleaned at ONE TIME. It's a wonderful feeling.
Mom brought cupcake supplies so that's what she and Knox did tonight.
He was the official taste tester :)
