Okay, I may be jumping the gun but I had a bug in my brain for Hadley's "Santa Outfit" this year, so I just had to put it together…
I love how it turned out! I wish I could claim this as my original idea, but I saw a similar set a while back and just fell in love with the whimsical Grinch theme. I had everything on hand to DIY my own little version, so here you go :)
I love making appliques 3D with textured fabrics and ribbon details. I used a super fluffy cuddle fabric for the sleeve and lime green stretch velvet for the hand that I had leftover from H's Tinkerbell costume last year.
She looks like a doll in it! And we have a little growing room until Christmas. [I had to give her something (the hammer) to keep her still long enough for a pic.]
And last one…
With that hammer and those little "toofies" I think she looks like a stray elf from Santa's workshop ;)
I'm gonna do a boy version of this for Knox on a grey long-sleeve tee so they can coordinate. Of course… I also need to post pictures of other recent projects I've been working on. Soon…

I have been reading for awhile. I have also wanted to comment more often (or ever-lol). I love this post b/c I call my 6 month old,Addison, Addie Lou Whoo! I'd love to have something like this for her Christmas outfit. Too cute. I feel you'd make good money selling what you create :)
