No honestly - my car has been needing to be replaced for a loooong time now.
It's been good to me, but now that we have 2 kids we need something safer and more comfortable. Especially with as much as we travel... But it's paid for. How many times have I heard that in the past 3 years. (#marriedtodaveramsey) But my transmission started slipping right before we went out of town so the time had come.
MUCH to my surprise we came home with something today!
A Tahoe in Taupe Grey. I've wanted Tahoe for awhile and we honestly just needed ROOM. This is my first new car - so I can't pretend that I'm not excited.
I love the color combo and it has all the bells and whistles that I was wanting - leather interior, bucket seats, power everything, DVD player, iPod hook-up (Important.), remote things, nav system, etc. Oh - and REAR AIR.
Haha - poor guy isn't used to that. He passed out as soon as we made our way home.
We were there from 9:30 to 2:30 and the kids got restless a few times, but for the most part they were good. And everyone we worked with was wonderful.
{Knox testing out a Camero. With his sippy in the cup holder. Scary sight.}
{Hadley finally passed out while we took care of paperwork!}
I feel kind of guilty though. My poor poor Blazer had no idea when she left the house this morning that she wouldn't be coming home... That car saw me through college, an out of state move, and two babies. I actually found some crazy things while cleaning out all the compartments...
Tons of University of Memphis cheer/pom calendars I was suppossed to sell to help us pay for Nationals. (Whoops.) A piece of paper with the name, address and number of the shop where I ended up buying my wedding dress. A hospital ID from when I worked as an Intern in nursing school. A church volunteer ID - circa 2005. And an old picture of my sweet Uncle Joe just before he was killed in a freak accident. Bitter sweet.
But I'm thankful to finally have a reliable vehicle that I feel is safest for my precious cargo! Thanks, Daddy ;)
