My 3rd Mother's Day!

...Or 4th if you count the year I was pregnant with Knox. I got an iPod. Either way - I feel so blessed to have been a mom for another year! I mean honestly, I feel like being a mother is more of an honor than it is worthy of honor... (Does that make sense???)

[The moment I became Mommy - 5/29/08 8:26pm]

[Sweet Hadley girl - 8/20/10 5:49pm]

Anyway - I was pretty spoiled all weekend. Friday we hit up Macy's so I could pick out my gift - a new purse. This is huge for me, actually. I haven't carried a purse in 3 years. I just throw my wristlet and phone in the diaper bag... Although I hated having to carry the big diaper bag out when I was sans kids so I ended up picking out a cute across-the-chest hipster (I don't know if that's what they're called). Basically, it's small but it's does the job. And I won't feel overwhelmed if I'm having to carry the diaper bag along with it.

[H chilling at the mall. She is too perfect!]

We chose to sleep in Sunday morning instead of making church. (This is awful, but we were SO worn out from the garage sale!) James cleaned house for me, and grilled me one of my FAVORITE summer-time dinners...

Kabobs! He does them with chicken, pineapple, and veggies, and marinates them in a combination of teriyaki and pineapple juice. And fresh grilled corn to boot! I made Pineapple Cherry Dumpcake for dessert. Partly because James needed the juice from the pineapple, but mainly because it's the easiest, cheapest, yummiest dessert ever.

The kids and I hung out outside while the grill master was at work...

[Too much cuteness.]

We got out the pool for Knox for the first time of the season. He had a ball! (No pun intended...)

I also got one more Mother's Day suprise...

SO excited! I think the Kinect is the funnest thing on the planet. Although I think I'll just stick to the dancing part on this game, and let James do the singing ;)

[Mom and me - 1987. I see a lot of Knox and Hadley here!]

Now looking ahead - we've got a big week! I've got some sewing to finish, and then of course the painting... I have to finish preparing for my baby boy's birthday party on Saturday! Not to mention we leave for the beach in less than 2 weeks. Exciting stuff, but lots to do.
