JUMP!

So James worked like a dog yesterday and finally got the new trampoline up...

Best part - it covers the dead, grassless flower-bed I've never cared for.

Don't you just love our oh-so-official steps???

Knox has LOVED it! Well - we've all had fun on it :) Although it reminds me how out of shape I am. 10 minutes on that thing with Knox and I'm huffing like I just ran 5 miles...

It's a 15ft (forget the brand - Jump Zone, maybe???) and we got it at Sam's. Enclosure was included. Good deal!

Throwing a ball right at my camera. Nice...

Of course we got this mainly for outdoor fun, but also because Knox has had the worst time learning how to jump/hop. As in with 2 feet at a time. Whenever we try to get him to do it he ends up doing more of a "skip"... (Has anyone else had this trouble? He's 2 1/2.)

I've read up on this milestone and most resources say it's not really considered a "delay" until age 3 1/2 or 4 so I'm not terribly concerned. (He's also a little flat-footed right now so I think that may be playing in to it...) Not to mention he's always been so advanced in all of his other motor skills. But I'm a firm believer that coordination and physical development are equally important as social and cognitive development, so it IS something I want to work on with him. I've already seen some improvement in just the past few days...

Sweet guy - he loves his new toy and can't wait to have some friends over to play! (I mean really - He's already asked me 37 times if Sissy can "Kangaroo Jump" too...)

With this awesome weather we've been having (70-80s and the trees are in bloom!) its so nice to have something fun to do outside :)

My little guy (will be 3 in may) has had a hard time jumping, too. He has the motion down, but couldn't get his feet off the ground...until a couple of weeks ago. he can now jump about 3" off the ground! I've been practicing with him by hopping like a frog, bunny, and anything else that he thinks is hoppy!! A tramp is a wonderful idea :)

We LOVE our trampoline!! IT provides hours of entertainment for the munchkins and us too.

So sad for momma though...I can jump for about 2 minutes and then I have to go pee pee. Dang...I have the bladder of a fish I tell ya!

Have fun :)
