Last One of the Year!

Can you believe it's almost 2011?!? I feel old :(

...This time last year my morning sickness was in full-swing and I was fighting a sinus infection so our NYE was spent vegging out at home, watching a TLC documentary on poligamists, and heading to bed around 10. Honestly, I don't think this year will be much different. I have no desire to go out and am not really a drinker anyway. But instead of poligamy documentaries maybe we'll grill out some steaks and have a Kinect party. (I'm hooked!)

But I thought I'd try to squeeze one last post in before the New Year. Just a fun little survey...

1. What did you do in 2010 that you had never done before?
Emroider/applique. I got my machine in October of 2009, but didn't actually do anything with it until the beginning of the New Year.

2. Did you keep your New Year's Resolutions and will you make more for next year?
I had "goals" and lets just say I made some headway but there's always room for improvement ;) And yes - I'll make some for next year. It's always good to at least have a goal!

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Ohh I'd say so... ;) And besides myself - I know MANY friends who've also had 2010 babies.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Yes. (Happy Birthday, sweet cousin. Miss you!)

5. What places have you visited?
I think the only places we traveled this year were Memphis and Arkansas for a lake trip. I think 2011 will call for a family vacation!

6. What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010?
To be honest - a new ride! Haha. My little ole Blazer gets a little bit smaller and squeaks a little more every day.

7. What date from 2010 will remain etched in your memory and why?
August 20th - Hadley's birth. January 12th - Andy's death.

8. What was your biggest achievement this year?
Becoming a homeowner.

9. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Beyond sinus infections and stomach flues - no.

10. What was the best thing you bought?
Our house. And my Flip camera.

11. Where did most of your money go?
Apart from our down-payment, probably a fair split between Lowe's/Home Depot and Target.

12. What song will always remind you of 2010?
Tim McGraw's Southern Voice.

13. What do you wish you would have done more of?
Spent more time in prayer and studying the bible.

14. What do you wish you would have done less of?
Stressing!

15. What was your favorite TV program?
Glee

16. What was the best book you read this year?
As far as I can remember, the only one I've finished this year is I Will Carry You by Angie Smith.

17. What was your favorite film of the year?
Honestly... Tangled.

18. What did you do on your birthday and how old were you?
I was 24 this year and we just celebrated low-key with some yummy take-and-bake cuisine from our favorite local "gourmet" shop.

19. What political issue stirred you the most?
I try to refrain from discussing politics. But let's just say I'm not thrilled about the direction this country is heading under the current administration...

20. Who was the best new person you met?
Hadley!

Thanks for the love! Can wait to share 2011 with the blog community :) Now I'm off to try to make some head-way on organizing out holiday decorations. I hate packing up Christmas :( Everything's pretty much down except for our tree (which I still have turned on) and our house lights.

Hope everyone has a fun, safe New Year!

Happy New Year to you and your beautiful family. Can I ask what kind of machine did you get? I also have to agree with #12- Southern Voice will always remind me of 2010-(my first country concert, ever)! :0)
