MOPS, crafts, and brain farts!

Well let me just say I'm a HAPPY girl! After playing "single mom" for 3+ weeks, I'm thrilled to have James back home :) And as for him - well I guess pulling 18 hour days for month really does pay off because they won their patent infringement case against a "rather large" corporation. Big celebration! So he's back working from home for a little while at least. He walked in Friday night and Hadley was like "Who the heck are you???" Haha! That and Knox's favorite phrase these days is "Daddy at work." No, Knox. Daddy just went to the bathroom...

We did a whole lotta nothing this weekend besides watching some football and getting out to do a little furniture browsing. Oh and playing a little 'dress-up' of course...

Meet my little prima ballerina!

Ruffled socks... The cuteness is just too much to handle!

Now we gotta get geared up for our up-coming trip to Tennessee. The babes and I fly out tomorrow so I need to get in gear and get us packed today. Me, plus a toddler and infant on a plane... Oh, I'm sure that will warrant a post all by itself!

Today we had our October MOPS meeting this morning and I'm thrilled that the little craft I planned was a hit...

Jar-O-Lanterns!

Cute - right? I collaborated with a few online tutorials to come up with these irresistable Halloween mantle candies. They were fairly easy - here's the How-To I printed out for the Moms... Gotta love Mod Podge! They look awesome in a window or on a mantle, lit with flameless candles or even twinkle lights. You can even adorn them with ribbons, raffia, and bows. I made myself a "set" of them in all different shapes. Such an easy/inexpensive/FUN project :) It got rave reviews from the Moms. Hope I can live up to expectations in the upcoming months!

Speaking of Mod Podge - I finally got THESE put together for Hadley's nursery...

Seriously had the materials for this project for 5 months now, so glad I finally got around to it! Her walls and shelves still need a bit more attention, but these are a fun start!

I also did this little dress for her last week. She's so tiny and I'm loving the fact that I can make literally make her things from fabric scraps! I guess I'll enjoy it while I can. She's already growing too too fast for me :(

Other than that I've had such a case of "Mommy-brain" lately... A few weeks ago I "lost" my phone and found it days later on the top of my car. Let me just say THANK HEAVENS for silicone phone covers. I'd been on the interstate several times and it didn't move! And just today I got to MOPS and James called me to see if I'd seen his keys... Initial thought : Why yes Babe, I used them this morning and Whoops, I think I left them on top of my car... Again. What I actually told him - "Ummm, not sure but I'll run my spare by you real quick and I'm sure yours will show up."

Sure enough on the drive home I spot his keys in the middle of the first intersection outside our neighborhood. OOOPS! Too bad they just happened to fall right in the tire tracks cause it looked as if they already taken a few hits...

Yes that's his super cool digital key/remote... Which is no more. Luckily he knows me and had already figured this had probably happened. By the time I got home and told him he just laughed :) After all - I DID risk my neck to run out in to traffic to pick up the pieces!

And then just yesterday I was dressed all cute in a tunic and jeans and decided to run a few errands. Well on my way in to Wal-Mart I notice that my feet feel funny and look down to realize I'd gone out in my HOUSESHOES! Oh my gosh... I wasn't too torn up about it though because hey - It's Wal-Mart. I fit right in! Haha ;)

Ohhhh, as much as I hate Walm-Marting sometimes there's just no way around it. They seem to always be the only ones to carry something I need, or just so happen to have a great price on something else... For instance, I found these yesterday...

BH&G's fall line of jar candles! Now I love me some Yankee Candles, but not so much the price tag. Especially with how quick we burn through them. But these babies are just $5 apiece, and YES - unlike most cheapo candles - they do actually smell good when you burn them. So I picked up one in Spice Cake and another in Pumpkin Pie and now our house is smelling so cozy!

Now tomorrow Tuesday's List is back and we'll be doing DVR Lists. (Or just 'Your Shows'...) YEAH for fall programing, right?

I'll have the Linky up tomorrow and you can head here to see the new TL schedule and get button codes :)
