34 weeks!

{Took this the other day before work.}

Miss Hadley and I had our 34 week check-up this morning and we're still doing fabulously. My next visit is in 2 weeks, and then I'll start my weekly check-ups! Can NOT believe it...

I had them do a sonogram on me today since we'll be heading back to Memphis for 5 or 6 days next week. I wanted to make sure she wasn't about to fall out of me! Looks like she's staying put for a little while at least so we're good to go :) I did loose a little weight though, so they went ahead and checked her size too...

Well looks like Miss Hadley's hogging ALL the calories because she's actually measuring a week ahead, estimated at 5lbs 6oz! My fluid levels and her BPP were good too - excellent movement! (Of course I could've told you that.) I'd share a sono pic, but she's so squished in there now we weren't really able to get a great one. We do know that she's head down, face up, and got her momma's pouting lip! (Get ready for that one, Daddy...)

Symptom-wise : My heartburn/reflux has eased up a bit these last few weeks. And the Restless Leg Syndrome has kicked in. Am I the only one that gets this during pregnancy??? So wierd and SOO annoying. I can't sleep because my legs feel like I need to stretch them and I'm not able to "stretch them enough"...  (That's the only way I can explain it.) No cramps or sciatic nerve pain. Just that stinkin RLS.

Are we ready??? Well as much as I'd love to go in to labor naturally and a little early... I'm hoping she'll give me at least 3 more weeks. We're going to be out of town next week and I need at least that much time to finish getting her room ready and the baby equipment cleaned and organized! Some of the girls from church were sweet enough to throw me a shower on Monday (SO thankful for them! They make living away from family a little easier...) and we got stocked up on all the cute girlie stuff. Now I'm just waiting on Penny's to call and tell me her dresser and nightstand are ready for pick-up so we can put her clothes away. And James' parents ordered us the glider for her room, so we're anxious to get that up there too.

I also started my latest project last night... Crib bedding!

So I totally was NOT planning on, wanting to, or had the confidence to take on something like this, but I kind of just "fell" in to it. The style I've had my heart set on is from a custom boutique and was gonna be $$$$$. And not only that - I just never could settle on any of the fabric choices they offered... Then I ran in to this fabric and it was EXACTLY what I was wanting for that chocolate brown nursery, so now here I am... In WAY over my head. Ha! I'm hoping between my mom, Google, and the sweet [ever-so-patient] fabric ladies at Joann's I can some how produce something that doesn't look too homemade, and maybe even a set I can be proud of. I'm giving myself 3 weeks and I officially started last night. I'll keep y'all up-to-date on my progress!

Other baby things knocked off our "List"...

I found the monitor I registered for - the Graco Digital iMonitor - on clearance the other day ($33 off) at Target so I went ahead and scooped it up. I had to test it out when I got home just because I didn't know any better and had gone with a cheap-o Fisher Price for Knox and that thing has been a thorn in my side ever since. (The static... Picking up stranger's babies and phone conversations... Going crazy if it senses anything electronic within 5 feet. It's awful!) Well the Graco is a dream in comparison, and has a rechargeable battery and a second handheld. Two very important aspects in my book...

Target also had the Graco white noise maker on clearance for $20 off. Well I CANNOT sleep without white noise (2 fans) and have passed along this handicap to both James and Knox, so I'm sure Hadley will pick up on it as well. This particular machine is nice though because it will run off an outlet or batteries, will play an mp3 player/iPod, has an optional timer, and has like 15 built-in sounds ranging from whales, womb sounds, rainforest, ocean, classical music, and just plain white noise. (Would it be ridiculous to get one for myself???)

And the last major item taken care of...

My diaper bag!!! (By OiOi and Amazon.com promises it's on its way.) How cute is that giraffe print??? For Hadley and Mommy! Diaper bags are one thing I do NOT skimp on. Mainly because they tend to double as my purse and end up toting around all 3 (now 4) of our lives. I love the ones that don't totally scream BABY ON BOARD yet are still big enough for all the neccessities and then some... Now I'm just hoping I'll have the will power to go ahead and pack this for the hospital and NOT to start using it now ;)

Today we're heading to the outlet mall and out to eat at our favorite fajita place since James' sister and brother-in-law are in town. (I love company! A great excuse to shop and eat.) And we've got a few things planned for tomorrow as well. I probably try to do a good general update tomorrow :)

You are NOT the only one to get RLS during pregnancy! I had it during my pregnancy with my little girl Isabella. However, I never had it with my two boys before her. Strange! You look great!
