Props to Kelly for a fun, easy topic this week. Especially since I've got a million and one things to do before we head off to the LAKE for 3 days. (YEAH!)
But anyway - china patterns. I think it's so sad to see brides these days shying away from this tradition. I mean, really - if my mom, grandmothers, aunts, etc. have kept and still use ONE thing they got as a wedding gift it's their china. Plus what a great heirloom to pass along...
For my pattern - as much as I love "fun and colorful" - I wanted something very classic and versatile. So I went with Lenox's Opal Innocense...

Obviously it's white, but I fell in love with the little detailing around the band. It's a small damask print embellished with little white 'pearls'.

Someday when I have nothing better to spend money on I'd like to get a second set of more casual/fun china. I'm thinking some sort of colorful floral or paisley around the band. Lucky for our bank account I haven't run across anything other pattern that moves me, so I guess I can wait ;)

I am a Lenox girl myself...love their stuff!
Love your china pattern. I love the idea of something timeless.
oh gorgeous!
stopping in from Kelly's Korner-I have the same Opal Innocence pattern! It is just so elegant and classic!
My mother has a beautiful set that she purchased while we were living Portugal.
To this day it's my favorite.
It's a very beautiful pattern!
Wow! I picked that *exact same* pattern for our China. I love it!
So pretty! As a couple we don't have any china! Is that bad? We had a small wedding and it seemed silly to register and then babies and well...it just wasn't important. YET. But that champagne color is gorgeous!
