We're proud to be welcoming a sweet baby...

GIRL!
Wow, I'm still trying to get used to saying that...
We had our 16wk check-up today and everything still looks fabulous! My mom was there for the sono and that was really special for both of us since we're 3 states away from each other for this pregnancy. And yes - a GIRL is what we were 85% sure we saw at my 12wk sono, but I wanted to wait to get that extra 15% of certainty before we shared ;)
But gosh - don't y'all just know I'm on cloud nine?!?! And I think our family (ahem, the GRANDMAS) are even more so than me. Haha! We told everyone via speakerphone, and they're all pretty pumped. But I was actually suprised at how completely OK I would have been with having another boy. Weird, because I was wanting a girl sooo very badly with Knox, but he taught me just how precious baby boys are, so my heart was open to either...
But a little sister it will be for Knox, and I am so excited for the two of them to have each other! I loved (and still do!) having a big brother growing up. No one dared mess with me ;) And I'm pretty sure my big brudder likes me too... Even though I'm sure I drove him crazy 98% of the time!
But I have a funny little feeling that this little girl will be spoiled ROTTEN even before she's here...

Daddy bought her the first (of what I'm sure will be many many presents) today - a little Longhorns cheerleader! I couldn't argue with that ;) I had gotten the Little Sister onsie weeks ago. (Of course I had a Little Brother one on hand too!) And once we made it back to the house my mom sheepishly pulls that little sailor dress out of her suitcase. I about lost it when I saw the matching hat. Stinkin CUTE! Apparently she was just THAT sure it was gonna be a girl, because she had nothing on hand for a boy!
Lord, grant me self control... We hit the outlets tomorrow and I'm scared of the damage I may do. It was hard enough for me not to buy pink and frilly when I didn't have a girl. Now what am I gonna do???

So I don't actually KNOW you know you, but I just love your blog, so I follow it regularly (don't even remember how I found it actually). I just wanted to tell you congratulations! I have a baby girl and it is SO much fun but ridiculously hard not to go crazy on the girly clothes! How fun to have one of each. :) Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy!
Congrats! Too bad you don't live in VA..I could send you the outrageous amount of stuff that we have from our girls!!
Congrats! How exciting. Little girls are so much fun to shop for.

Congrats! That is awesome news. I was convinced that I was having a girl when I had Blake, it took me awhile to get used to the fact that I was having a boy....now that I have him I cant imiagine it any other way. I feel like I will have all boys now...but one of each is PERFECT!!
Congrats to you and your family!
Congratulations on the great news, of course it would have been great news to also find out it was a boy, but a girl to balance out the family is fantastic. So the question I have is, are you the one who bought my cute car seat cover ;-)?HA Just kidding, she said she can make another just like it if we find out in May that we are having a girl. I am so happy for you and I pray the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly and that your credit cards don't hurt to much LOL
