pretty pictures

So on top of all the decorating, crafting, and cleaning that's been going on around here lately, I've also been doing a ton of Photoshop-ing. (Yes, it's a verb.) Remember when I took pics of my friend Amy's jewelry for her Etsy shop??? Well, during all of the computer drama I had last week, they some how got deleted! So after a MAJOR freak out, my husband (who is well on his way towards his computer forensics certification) was able to do his thing and recover all of them. PHEW!!! So I had to re-edit them, and I finally got them to Amy yesterday. (Thanks for being so patient, A!) I'll have to share the link to her shop once she gets it all set up...

I also had to edit the Senior Pictures I took of my sister Kim and her friend Kelsey last week in Tennessee... (She didn't like the ones the studio took, and from what I'm told my grandmother has been chomping-at-the-bit to get an 8x10 for weeks now...) I was very pleased with how they turned out, and apparently so was my mom because she said that 'Santa' will be very good to me this year ;)

Speaking of - one of the big things on my Christmas list this year is a new telephoto lens for my Canon. (Or $$$ towards it at least.) I'm still planning on getting in to some kind of photography class [one of these days] and they recommend having one. I may sign up for one in the spring. Don't think I want to get into professional photography, but I would like to learn more about capturing great shots and utilizing manual settings. Right now I have a vague idea about what each one does, but when it comes to knowing when to use which, well I kind of just wing it ;)

Other than that, we had a pretty laid back weekend. We did a little shopping, (PRAISE HEAVENS I've almost got everyone bought for!), I got some presents wrapped, and Saturday night we spent with friends watching the Longhorns game.Wow... What a difference a second makes, right?!

I can't WAIT for the UT vs. BAMA National Championship game. I'm a SEC girl by heart and an "adopted" Longhorn, and even though I'll probably be rooting for Texas, it's gonna be a fun match-up :)

I've also been hitting the gym fairly regularly this past week, and I'm loving it! What IS it about exercise that just makes you feel better... Other than that - Knox and I had MOPS this morning (FUN), and I've got my Esther bible study tonight. (Which I'm about 4 days behind on, so I really need to be making some head-way on that...) Not to mention I need to write some Thank You's for my birthday gifts and get Christmas cards out... Ohhh the life of a mommy and wife... Does it ever end??? Ha! Just kidding, y'all know I wouldn't trade it for anything :)

But anyways - tomorrow, of course, is...

I'm excited because I'm using this week's TL to show off my [almost finished] Christmas Decor - indoor and out! I can't wait to see y'alls, and maybe even steal (ahem) borrow some ideas ;)
