beginning to look a lot lot christmas

Ok it seems like I've been going a mile-a-minute ever since we got home from Tennessee... We drove in at about 3pm on Monday, I whipped up some chicken-something for dinner, and then headed off to my bible study. And as if 7.5 hours in the car with a toddler isn't enough excitement for one day, I decided to start my Christmas decorating when I got home at 9pm. James - although tired - was kind enough to put the tree together and string the lights, and then I took it from there.

Tuesday morning I sat Knox down and gave him his first "haircut" since it was picture day at school. Although he doesn't have much hair, it was hanging over his ears and collar and Mommy was tired of hearing every male relative - including Daddy - commenting on his "mullet." (Eyes rolling...) So off went the hair. Sorry, no pictures. But I did manage to scrounge together a few pieces for his babybook... Anyway, I guess it was good that he was clean-cut for pictures. He looked adorable! Now I can't wait to see our proofs. His teachers say he had a great smile, so we'll see...

Other than that, there was a whole lot more decorating going on Tuesday. (And I'm still working on it...) I used some of my birthday money to update our decor - I ended up with some really cute stuff! And while going through our boxes that were in the attic I got a bee in my bonnet to re-organize... Which led to 3 big boxes of un-wanted things... Which led to the idea to have a garage sale... Which led to me dividing up ALL of Knox's out-grown clothes and baby gear... Yes, a seemily small project turned in to a week-long over-haul!!! And on top of that, I've been making several new decorations this year. Needless to say, our house looks like a cross between a storage unit and a craft fair right now! But thank heavens there's finally an end in sight... I'm hoping to be done with everything by Monday so I can share pictures for Tuesday's List :) Knox has absoultely LOVED all of the excitment. Maybe a little too much though... Yesterday he pooped gold glitter. Sigh...

Wednesday we woke up to SNOW!

You can't really tell it here, but for about 2 solid hours we had a gorgeous, heavy snow. However this is Texas and it didn't take long for the temperature to reach 50 and it to turn to rain... Later on Knox had his 18 month check-up at the pediatrician. Everything looked good and he is still 95% for height, and is now 50% for weight. (He's leaning up on me!)

Today K had school, so James and I took advantage of the time and went to work-out at the gym. James suprised me the other day by adding me to his 24 Hour Fitness membership. I'm excited, and although I just did solo work-out today - I'm planning on trying to make some classes regularly. Mainly zumba, kickboxing, and cardio dance...

Oh and did I mention that on top of an week full of travel, decoratig, organizing, and laundry - my computer started acting strange on Sunday. I had James look at it and apparently I had 6GB in my Recycle Bin, 15GB worth of pictures, and 10GB of Temporary Files. Now I know nothing about computer space, but according to my husband - that's BAD. Haha! So this afternoon he set me up with an external hard drive for my pictures and Photoshop files, and we finally were able to clean out all of my unneccessary files. It is running MUCH smoother now, which is good because I've got Christmas cards to design, senior portraits to edit, and BLOGGING to do ;)

In the meantime - James is on the roof stringing lights, my chili is smelling AMAZING in the crockpot, and I'm taking a break from putting the finishing touches on me new wreath.
