One step closer...

[K at the park. 8.5 months]

So yesterday was Valentine's Day and K racked-up as usual in the presents area... Mommy got him a bubble-blowing machine (everyone needs one!), NaNa got him a great book, and Poppy got him a toy to help him start walking (Lord, help me...). JD, of course, is already down in TX working, so we spent our first married V-day apart. Although, he DID get me a 'J' initial pendant from Tiffany's!!! (He's good, right?) But as luck would have it, it wasn't delivered as it was suppossed to be, so we are picking it up in Dallas next week. He also surprised me today by informing me that he went ahead and got our casual dining set that I have been wanting for about a year now. I was so excited! The table is bar-stool height, round (the edges will slide in to make a square), seats 8, and has a round marble slab in the middle that functions as a Lazy-Susan. He got the bar-stools and server to match as well! Can you tell I like furniture? Haha!
I had my last day at LB yesterday and I cannot believe I won't be going back. I am going to miss the girls so much... and those sweet, sweet babies :( My lovely co-workers threw me a pot-luck with the some of the yummiest dishes. Seeing how nurses work through the holidays, we rely on pot-lucks frequently... Anyway, I hope to keep up with everyone and all of the happenings on the unit. I am very proud to have been a part of Infant Care!!!

Oh, K cut his first tooth yesterday! That child NEVER cries, but that stinkin tooth put him through the worst time last week. I am so relieved it is here, but am bracing myself for a few more months of this whole teething thing :(

We move Saturday and I have still got quite a ways to go on thee packing. I am so excited to get settled into the house and start home-making. JD went to go pick up the keys this afternoon and I had him take some more pictures for me and walk-off some of the room dimensions so I could start plotting in my head. Have I mentioned that I haven't actually seen this house? But it is only 2 years old, I love the pics of it, and when it is all said and done, it is just a rental...

But K is ready for bath, bottle, and bed so I must go do my motherly duties. Hope to post again soon.

Do not be overcome with evil, but overcome evil with Good.
